Abstract:Alzheimer's disease,a mental disorder with complex pathogenesis,is characterized by deficiency in nature and excess in superficiality. As a neurotransmitter transmitted between central nervous system and the enteric nervous system,brain-gut peptide plays an important role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. It has been verified that chronic inflammation and the imbalance of intestinal microflora may lead to cognitive decline.Based on the connection between brain-gut axis theory and Alzheimer's disease, this paper explores the relationship of spleen with the heart, liver, and kidney from three perspectives of “phlegm”,“deficiency”,and “blood stasis”,and discusses the treatment by removing blood stasis, resolving phlegm, and tonifying deficiency, which is expected to lay a theoretical basis for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease from spleen.
