Xerophthalmia,also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca,is a common ophthalmic disease.Its treatment by acupuncture and moxibustion is not widely seen in clinical practice.However,compared with other drug treatments,long-term use of artificial tears will improve the symptoms after drug withdrawal,but fails to completely cure it.Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of xerophthalmia is easy to operate and has many methods,which can effectively relieve the symptoms.This paper aimed to show the diversity of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of xerophthalmia in recent years.
