Heart failure is an important public health problem worldwide. As a complex clinical syndrome, heart failure is the most common complication of advanced cardiovascular disease, and it usually has poor prognosis and low survival rate. Its pathophysiology is complex, involving hemodynamics, neurohumour, myocardial remodeling, energy metabolism, and other abnormalities, and especially most patients with heart failure have the problem of myocardial dysfunction.Since the heart is a highly oxygen-consuming tissue, mitochondria play a central role in maintaining the normal physiological activities of the heart.Mitochondrial dynamics determines the morphology and function of mitochondria. Therefore, damage to the structure and function of mitochondria, such as abnormal mitochondrial dynamics, directly affects the heart function, leading to dysfunction of myocardial contraction and then developing into heart failure. Therefore,if the balance of mitogenesis and fusion of mitochondria is improved or restored after the treatment with relevant drugs,it will help to improve the symptoms of heart failure. |
