To explore the clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of tidal fever in patients with breast cancer and thus to lay a basis for the development of clinical practice guidelines.Methods:We searched China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)，China Science Periodical Database(CSPD)，Chinese Citation Database(CCD)，China Biology Medicine(CBM)，PubMed，EMBASE，Cochrane Library，and other databases for modern evidence on the treatment of tidal fever in breast cancer with acupuncture and moxibustion.A total of 49 antient classics were retrieved to collect relevant ancient evidence.The “questionnaire on acupuncture and moxibustion intervention of tidal fever in breast cancer patients” was designed to collect the relevant experience of experts.Then，all the above evidence was sorted and analyzed to formulate the clinical protocol for the prevention and treatment of the tidal fever.Results:A total of 205 modern articles(60 in Chinese and 145 in English) were screened out and finally 13 eligible ones were included.A total of 6 relevant records in ancient classics were found and 52 questionnaires were recovered from the experts.Through analysis，it is found that electroacupuncture，acupuncture，and auricular point pressing are commonly used in the treatment of the tidal fever.The recommended acupoints for acupuncture are Sanyinjiao(SP 6)，Taixi(KI 3)，Taichong(LR 3)，Fengchi(GB 20)，Zusanli(ST 36)，Guanyuan(CV 4)，Shenshu(BL 23)，Yinxi(HT 6)，Shenmen(HT 7)，Dazhui(GV 14)，and the recommended acupoints for auricular point pressing are kidney[CO(10)]，liver[CO(12)]，spleen[CO(13)]，heart[CO(15)]，shenmen[TF(4)]，etc.Conclusion:Based on the evidence，the clinical protocol for the prevention and treatment of tidal fever in breast cancer patients with acupuncture and moxibustion was formulated.Acupuncture and electroacupuncture are strongly recommended and ear point pressing is also recommended.
