To analyze the effect of Huoxue Tongdu Decoction combined with massage on serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis.Methods:A total of 80 patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis who were treated in Fengfeng General Hospital，North China Medical and Health Group from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected and randomized into the control group(n=40) and observation group(n=40) according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with massage and the observation group was treated with Huoxue Tongdu Decoction and massage.The clinical efficacy，interleukin-1α(IL-1α)，tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)，monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)，Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA) score，visual analogue scale(VAS)，Oswestry disability index(ODI) score，and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of observation group(92.50%) was higher than that of control group(75.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment，levels of IL-1α，TNF-α，and MCP-1，VAS score，and ODI score in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05)，and JOA score in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions showed no significant difference between the observation group(5.00%) and the control group(7.50%)(P>0.05).Conclusion:Huoxue Tongdu Decoction combined with massage can inhibit the inflammatory reaction，relieve the pain symptoms，and improve the lumbar functions of patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis，which is effective and safe.
