Clinical Efficacy of Pediatric Tuina Combined with Acupoint Application in Treatment of Infantile Anorexia with Deficiency in Spleen and Stomach Syndrome
To investigate the effects of pediatric tuina combined with acupoint application on the clinical efficacy, syndrome scores, and intestinal mucosal absorption function of children with anorexia with deficiency in the spleen and stomach syndrome.Methods:Ninety-two anorexia children with deficiency in the spleen and stomach syndrome treated in Yantai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2018 to June 2020 were enrolled and divided into a control group(n=46) and an observation group(n=46) according to the random number table method. All patients were treated with oral domperidone tablets, while those in the observation group received additional pediatric tuina combined with acupoint application. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome score, gastrointestinal hormones, intestinal mucosal absorption function, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 93.47%,which was higher than 78.26% in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of primary and secondary syndromes of TCM in the two groups significantly decreased, but the decrease was more manifest in the observation group(P<0.05).After treatment, the absorption levels of motilin, gastrin, salivary amylase, and D-xylose in the two groups significantly increased, and the increase was more manifest in the observation group(P<0.05).The control group had no obvious drug-related adverse reactions, and two cases(4.35%) in the observation group showed itching at the drug application site. There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of oral domperidone tablets, pediatric tuina combined with acupoint application can improve the curative effect of infantile anorexia patients with deficiency in the spleen and stomach syndrome, reduce syndrome scores, and increase the absorption of motilin, gastrin, salivary amylase, and D-xylose.
