Parkinson's disease(PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder commonly seen in the middle-aged and the elderly.It is necessary to develop a long-term systematic treatment strategy as this disease is characterized by complex symptoms，slow progression，and long life expectancy.Recent clinical studies have shown that the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine has unique advantages in treating this disease.With the basic idea of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine，Professor Ma Yu developed the “integrated diagnosis and treatment system of traditional Chinese and western medicine for PD” according to the clinical symptoms and individual problems of PD patients by interdisciplinary combination between medicine and engineering，with a view to improving the quality of life of patients and providing a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
