Diabetic nephropathy(DN) is one of the microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus，which seriously affects the quality of life and life expectancy of diabetic patients.Academician TONG Xiaolin has proposed the academic idea of “state-target strategy” for the treatment of DN，which has its unique advantages and can effectively reduce proteinuria and delay dialysis time.Based on academician TONG Xiaolin's academic idea of “state-target strategy”，it can be observed clinically that when patients with DN enter the middle and late stage，they belong to the “deficient” state，mostly identified as “the syndrome of yin-yang deficiency”.The author combined the clinical experience of the supervisor and Professor CUI Yunzhu，and found that the application of Jingui Shenqi Pills as the modulating formula to regulate the “deficient” state of DP with “the syndrome of yin-yang deficiency”，while adding Astragali Radix，Puerariae Lobatae Radix，and Hirudo as target drugs to precisely hit the target.The combination of state and target can effectively improve patients' symptoms and their quality of life.
