The legislative situation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the US affects the overall development of TCM in the US.However，due to the differences in national conditions，laws，culture，and language between China and the US，the legislation of TCM in the US is not optimistic and remains slow.By sorting out the current status of the legislation of TCM in the US，collecting and collating a large amount of first-hand data as well as information，and combining the laws and regulations related to TCM mentioned in the Food and Drug Administration of the US，this paper analyzed the current progress and issues in the legislation of TCM in the US and proposed countermeasures for China in the promotion of TCM to the international arena in response to these issues.
