Interpretation and Typical Cases of Guideline for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Psychological Rehabilitation Intervention after Radical Surgery of Stage Ⅰ-Ⅲ Colorectal Cancer
Cancer patients in China generally require psychological rehabilitation, and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has shown good intervention effects in this regard.Currently, there have been published western medicine psychological guidelines and standard treatment plans related to cancer, but the integration of TCM and western medicine and TCM intervention programs still need standardization.Colorectal cancer,as a highly prevalent tumor in China with long-term survival rates, provides a good starting point for integrated TCM and western medicine psychological rehabilitation after radical surgery. Some preliminary research has already been published in this area.In order to standardize the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of this disease and to improve the effectiveness of integrated TCM and western medicine in addressing psychological issues after radical surgery for early and middle-stage colorectal cancer,in 2022,the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine released the Guideline for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Psychological Rehabilitation Intervention after Radical Surgery of Stage Ⅰ-Ⅲ Colorectal Cancer, which includes 12 pieces of recommendations. This guideline is the first in the field of colorectal cancer for integrated TCM and western medicine psychological intervention. However, due to the limited quantity and quality of related research, more high-quality research results need to be published in the future to promote its further improvement and updating.
