Big data is a product of the rapid development of technology and information in this era.Due to its immense value，it has been widely applied in disciplines such as healthcare and communications.All massive data related to healthcare and health can be referred to as medical big data.The emergence of medical big data has promoted the vigorous development of intelligent healthcare both in China and abroad.In recent years，the application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has gradually unfolded under the background of medical big data.However，based on current research achievements，the application of artificial intelligence is more widespread in western medicine，while it is still in the preliminary stage in TCM research.Nevertheless，it holds broad research prospects and application value.Currently，TCM diagnosis mainly relies on the traditional methods of observation，auscultation and olfaction，inquiry，and pulse diagnosis.However，the collection of information from these four diagnostic methods lacks standardization，objectivity，and standardization.Additionally，during the outbreak of infectious diseases，close observation of tongue and pulse conditions can increase the risk of disease transmission，thus having certain limitations.In recent years，artificial intelligence-assisted diagnostic systems have played an increasingly important role in various disease diagnosis and treatment decisions.
