To analyze the medication rules of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) intervention in neonatal jaundice by using data mining,so as to provide references for clinical practice. Methods:With “jaundice in newborns” or “neonatal jaundice” as the key words,we searched the Chinese Medical Dictionary(V5.0) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) for relevant articles with the time interval from January 1,2000 to August 1,2021.A library was established, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing Platform(V3.0) was used for the statistics of frequency, mining of association rules, and cluster analysis. Results:A total of 127 TCM prescriptions were screened out, involving 194 Chinese herbal medicines. The top 5 Chinese herbal medicines in use frequency were Artemisiae Scopariae Herba,Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Gardeniae Fructus,Poria, and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma.Furthermore, the natures and tastes of the Chinese herbal medicines with the frequency≥5 were analyzed. The results showed that the TCM prescriptions for neonatal jaundice mainly used bitter, sweet,or pungent herbs with cold, plain or warm nature, and these herbs mainly had tropism to the spleen, stomach, and lung meridians. The cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs yielded three clusters, and the association rule analysis predicted six potential herb pairs. Conclusion:Excreting dampness and eliminating jaundice is the basic rule of TCM in the intervention of neonatal jaundice. The six potential herb pairs obtained by cluster analysis of high-frequency drugs are based on Yinchenhao Decoction, supplemented by the prescriptions for tonifying middle and replenishing qi.The findings are expected to provide references for the clinical medication of TCM intervention in neonatal jaundice.
