To observe the clinical efficacy of transport needling combined with Biqi Capsules in treating cervical spondylopathy of nerve root type and provide a safe and effective treatment method for this disease. Methods:A total of 120 patients with cervical spondylopathy of nerve root type were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received conventional western medicine treatment, while the observation group received the combined therapy of transport needling and Biqi Capsules in addition to the treatment received by the control group. The clinical evaluation scale for cervical spondylopathy(CASCS),the neck disability index(NDI),the Northwick Park neck pain questionnaire(NPQ),and the visual analog scale(VAS) were compared before and after treatment between the two groups.Levels of inflammatory mediators such as interleukin(IL)-β,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α in the serum were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results:The total effective rate was 93.33%(56/60) in the observation group and 75.00%(45/60) in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the improvement in CASCS,NDI,NPQ,VAS,and inflammatory mediators in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion:The combined therapy of transport needling and Biqu Capsules has good clinical efficacy in treating cervical spondylopathy, which can effectively inhibit the release and aggregation of inflammatory mediators, thereby relieving neck and shoulder pain and improving functional impairment.
