Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is a common disease affecting females' reproductive health.It is a reproductive endocrine disorder and metabolic disorder，belonging to a group Ⅱ ovulation disorder defined by the World Health Organization(WHO).In vitro fertilization and embryo transfer，commonly known as the test tube baby technology，is often the final choice of the patients with PCOS.The PCOS alone is not the indication of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer.This technology can be used only when PCOS patients present tubal dysfunction，non-pregnancy after repeated ovulation induction or obvious genetic diseases.In the application of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer，the complications of PCOS should be considered for the selection of the follicular stimulation scheme，embryo transfer scheme，and treatment order.Professor YOU Zhaoling has developed unique thinking and formed a mature system on the application of TCM for regulation during the whole process of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer for PCOS.
