Anxiety disorder is characterized by persistent tension and worry or repeated panic attacks.According to the descriptions of storing spirit and loss of vitality in the Huangdi's Internal Classic(Huang Di Nei Jing)，the interactions between five zang-organ lesions and emotional disorders produce anxiety，which is the pathological basis of anxiety disorder.The circuit interactions between five zang-organ spirits form emotional and behavioral responses to external stimuli.Heart spirit is regarded as the commander of five zang-organ spirits，leading the spiritual consciousness and thinking activities.Brain spirit is related to memory，sight，and hearing.Heart spirit and brain spirit have a primary and secondary relationship in regulating human spiritual activities.According to the theory of five zang-organs storing spirits，this paper elaborates on the application and mechanism of back transport points in treating anxiety disorder.It is believed that back transport points can regulate the functions of five zang-organs to active the spinal segments and trigger neurohumoral control of the vegetative nervous system，thus comprehensively treating both the physical and psychological disorders of the patients with anxiety disorder.
