Primary liver cancer(PLC) is one of the common malignant tumors of the digestive tract.The patients present no obvious clinical symptoms in the early stage，and most of them are in the advanced stage when being diagnosed.The available therapies for PLC are limited and have unsatisfactory therapeutic effects.Consequently，PLC poses a serious threat to the life and property security of the patients.Recent studies have shown that glucose metabolism is closely related to the formation and progression of PLC，and glucose metabolism is involved in the clinical cases and animal models of liver cancer caused by a variety of factors，which provides a new way for the treatment of PLC.Traditional Chinese medicine has demonstrated definite efficacy on PLC，especially in prolonging the survival time，improving the quality of life，and reducing the risk of tumor recurrence.
