By observing the effect of compatibility of different doses of prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii with Chebulae fructus and Glycyrrhiza uralensis and the combination of the three drugs on acute toxicity in mice, this paper discussed whether Chebulae fructus and Glycyrrhiza uralensis can reduce the toxicity of prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii. Methods:After a single intragastric administration, the median lethal number(LD50) was determined by the Bliss method, and the general symptoms, body weight, and food intake were measured in each dose group.Results:LD50 in the prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii was 798.77 mg/kg,with that in the Chebulae fructus and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group being 927.27 mg/kg.LD50 in the Glycyrrhiza uralensis and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group was 801.28 mg/kg,and that in the Chebulae fructus,Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group was 1 080.9 mg/kg.Compared with those in the blank group on the first day after administration, the body weight and food intake of mice in the prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group were significantly reduced, and the body weight and food intake of mice in the compatibility group were obviously reduced. Conclusion:Chebulae fructus and Glycyrrhiza uralensis can reduce the toxicity of prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii. The toxicity reduction effect in descending order is Chebulae fructus,Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group>Chebulae fructus and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group>Glycyrrhiza uralensis and prepared Aconitum kusnezoffii group.
